December 31: 10th Annual Global Peace Dance Once again, our biggest circle of the year will come together at the Friends Meetinghouse in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood. We'll dance, eat a magnificent potluck dinner, join a global peace meditation on an ancient mantra, and dance some more -- and finish up in time to be home (or at the next event) long before midnight. |

Friday 1/23/09: Peter Mayer in concert in Northbrook IL OK, this is NOT a Dances of Universal Peace Event! A number of us have fallen in love with the work of this wonderful folk singer from the Minneapolis area. Peter Mayer is a gifted songwriter and composer, and an astoundingly accomplished guitarist! This concert will be a benefit for an animal shelter. It's a good cause, it's inexpensive, and the music will be wonderful. We aren't yet certain of the venue for this concert, but we think that it will be the Northbrook Theater in Northbrook IL. We invite you to join us for a fun evening. I promise that when it's over, you'll wish it had been longer! I'll post more information when it's available.
